We were traveling by car in the Canadian Rockies along the trans-Canadian highway near Lake Louise. Every time the car turned a corner in the highway, it was as if a new post card opened in front of us — spectacular scenery. At every new scene, everyone in the family would audibly gulp in a new mouthful of air to signify that we were all overcome by the awesome beauty, and in that moment, we knowingly voted in unison: “takes your breath away.” —Richard L.
